(Phoenix) Carol A. Henry, Vice President of Marketing, Caesars International, has been selected for the Black Board of Directors Project Dr. Charles R. Campbell Outstanding Alumna Award. This award is named for the late Dr. Charles R. Campbell, Co-Founder of the Arizona Informant Newspaper and a strong supporter of the work of the Black Board of Directors Project.
Henry, who now resides in the Miami, Florida area, served on the boards of the Birthing Project and the Arizona Humanities Council and serves on an advisory committee at the University of Advancing Technology in the Phoenix area.
She earned a BS in chemical engineering from MIT, an MBA from Kellogg School at Northwestern University and an MS in environmental health engineering from University of Texas at Austin.
She is a native of Hartford, Connecticut and previously resided in Tempe, Arizona. Her leisure activities are horseback riding, skiing and reading.
Previous recipients of this award include Loretta Cheeks, Laya Gavin, Tracee Hall Crockett, Craig Outten, Gordon Lewis, Kimulet Winzer and Dustin Jones.
The award will be presented at a VIP Invitation only event on October 18, 2011.
